It is possible to combine your sail trip on the Horizon with a visit to the steam driven pumping station in Medemblik, the Zuyder Zee museum in Enkhuizen, or the Batavia in Lelystad.
In consultation with the skipper, a route can be mapped out which will take you to various historical ports and fisherman’s villages. Perhaps, a sailing trip at night can be planned, in which you will enjoy the romance of the waves and the sea.
The skipper owns an interesting collection of books with beautiful pictures and extraordinary, old drawings of traditional ships, impoldering, historical cities and villages, and other special pieces of information. During your sailing tour, you can perfectly compare the present with the ancient times using this nautical library.
