These are the upcoming races in 2012.
Pieperrace (14 and 15 April)
The Pieperrace is sailed in different classes. On both days you sail a track that will be announces during the ”schipperspalaver”. This is usually around tons in the Gouwsea and the Hoornsche Hop.
Tjalkenrace (29 and 30 September)
It is one of the most spectacular races of the season. The highlight of this sailing event is a party in a huge tent. The contestants compete for the Holland / Friesland jar.
Klipperrace (13 and 14 October)
On the first day of the competition there are three buoys that are put out at Urk, Stavoren and Medemblik which 2 are to be rounded. In which order you sail is up to you. The second day there is an Olympic track off inflatable buoys. The winner of the Klipperrace is the ship with the best results of the first and second day and wins the silver klipper.
Brandarisrace (20 and 21 October)
The purpose of this competition is to sail as quickly as possible from Harlingen to Terschelling. Also a unique opportunity to visit this beautiful island. Saturday night at the party the winner will be announced. On Sunday we sail back to Harlingen.
Bontekoerace (27 and 28 October)
Both days will be sailed on an Olympic track that will be explained in the morning by the race committee. We sail fot the honor, but there are also prizes provided by sponsors.
Waddenrace (3 and 4 November)
During the Wadden Sea Race participating ships try to get the Wad pennon to get as fast as you can to harbours Den Oever, Oudeschild (Texel), Vlieland and Terschelling (in no particulas order). The choice of the route will determined by the elements of nature. In this race it comes down to tactics. There also will be sailed by night.
